SEA TEXTILES

Upto 5 plastic bottles from seawaste are used to produce one towel. A large cruise-ship for example may have upto 20.000 towels onboard and equal numbers of bedlinen, cushion covers etc. hundreds of crew wear thousands of corporate polo’s. All up one large cruise vessel alone, using Romas Marine Garments could help reduce marine / environmental waste by upto half a million plastic bottles

The production process achieves 50% reduction of CO2 emissions for recycled virgin fiber in comparison to new textiles using less energy, less water and no chemicals

The towels are generally made from 70% recycled cotton and 30% recycled polyester. The recycled cotton is made from pre-consumer cotton waste and he recycled polyester is from verifiable and traceable yarn made from recycled plastic bottles that could otherwise end up in the ocean
